GARLIC MUSHROOMS

vegetarian, gluten free & really easy to make

Serve with warm French bread for a delicious snack or starter.

 

Serves 2

  • 125g (4 oz) small button mushrooms
  • 30g (1 oz) butter
  • 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped (or use a garlic press)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Seasoning

Method

  1. Heat the butter until foaming, but not brown. Toss in the mushrooms and garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the lemon juice and seasoning, cover with a lid and cook gently for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the lid and cook for a further 5 minutes, until softened. Stir in the parsley and serve.
