Soft boiled
To soft boil an egg – Boil a pan of water, gently place the egg in the water, and when the water comes back to a boil, lower it to a simmer. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes then remove the egg from the water and enjoy with some soldiers.
Hard boiled
To hard boil an egg – Plunge the egg into a pan of boiling water. Boil steadily over a medium heat for 12 minutes. Run under cold water until egg is completely cold to prevent the yolk turning grey.
